Good news: polishing cups and pastes are a thing of the past! PIEZON® NO PAIN with the PS instrument enables painless, minimally invasive removal of residual calculus where it’s needed. Irrigation temperature is regulated and functions are operated by a wireless foot pedal.
*biofilm: biofilm on teeth can cause more serious problems. This coating makes you ill if it is not removed properly, or if its layered structure is disorganized. It all starts with the formation of the acquired pellicle. This ultra-fine deposit of proteins and other saliva components is deposited on freshly cleaned teeth within a few hours. Film is a friend. In principle, it’s precious because, as an initial oral biofilm, it protects teeth in two ways: firstly, against acid attack, and secondly, it prevents any damage to enamel when chewing food or rubbing teeth together. But over time, these qualities come to an end. Soon, it’s colonized by bacteria. A first layer of plaque begins to form.
