OUR PRIORITY: THE SAFETY AND HEALTH OF OUR PATIENTS
1. The excellence of our teams
The Smile and Care dentistry centres do not compromise on the quality of the staff they hire. All of our dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants hold Swiss or European diplomas recognised by the Federal Office of Public Health and practice their professions by applying the highest standards of medical excellence. Our practitioners take care of every patient in a personalised way in order to offer a customised treatment plan.
All of our dentists attend continuing education courses, in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss Dental Association (Société suisse des médecins-dentistes, SSO).
As soon as they start working, Smile and Care employees are instructed in the dental clinic’s hygiene rules. This instruction then continues on a regular basis, and checks are periodically carried out.
2. The importance of sterillisation
Our sterilisation processes have been certified by the Federal Office of Public Health and apply the Federal law of 15 December 2000 on medicinal products and medical devices, as well as the Ordinance of 17 October 2001 on medical devices (ODim). We ensure the full traceability of the sterilisation process.
Sterilisation includes the disinfection and cleaning prior to sterilisation, the sterilisation process itself, as well as storage following sterilisation.
Our sterilisation processes have been approved by the Federal Office of Public Health, and apply the Federal Act on Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of 15 December 2000, as well as the Medical Devices Ordinance (MedDO, or ODim in French) of 17 October 2001.
We ensure the full traceability of the sterilisation process.
Our teams strictly follow hygiene rules between each patient by carefully washing their hands before and after each procedure, using antiseptic gels or surgical soap – measures that go beyond the legal requirements.
Medical gloves and masks are worn during treatments and disposed of after each procedure.
The specific area for processing instruments is separate from the examination and treatment room.
3. Dental equipment and materials
All the equipment used by Smile and Care has been installed or supplied by Swiss dental companies. The same applies to consumables and disposables.

4. Dental laboratories
Smile and Care works exclusively with laboratories located in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud that meet the highest Swiss quality standards and guarantee high-quality workmanship. Each crown, bridge, or removable prosthesis is crafted with “Swiss made” know-how and checked by the dentist before fitting.
