1. Initial assessment

• An orthodontist assesses the patient’s needs and takes X-rays and digital dental impressions.
• A 3D digital simulation is carried out using ClinCheck® software to plan tooth movements.

2. Manufactues of aligners

• The aligners are custom-made based on the digital treatment plan. Each aligner is designed to move the teeth by a fraction of a millimeter.
• The aligners are made of transparent, hypoallergenic, comfortable medical plastic.

3. Wearing the aligners

• The patient wears each aligner for 1 to 2 weeks before moving on to the next in the series.
• The aligners exert gentle, constant pressure to move the teeth gradually towards their ideal position.

4. Treatment follow-up

• Regular appointments with the orthodontist allow progress to be checked and adjustments made if necessary.
• Depending on the complexity of the case, treatment can last from a few months to several years.

5. Retainer

Once treatment has been completed, a retainer (fixed or removable) is often required to hold the teeth in place.
